1452 - Leonardo Di Ser Piero Da Vinci is born in Vinci, Italy to mother, Caterina and father, Ser Piero.
1457 - Leonardo moves in with his father and step-mom, Alberia Amadori.
1460 - His step-mom dies, so he and his father move to Florence.
1466 - Leonardo begins hes apprenticeship under Andrea del Verrocchio.
1472 - He becomes a member of the Florence painter's guild.
1481 - He begins the Adoration of the Magi.
1482 - He is recommended as an engineer, architect, sculptor, painter, and a musician. He moves to Milan to work for the duke, Ludovico Sforza as his military adviser.
1485 - He paints the Virgin of the Rocks.
1489 - He begins to study anatomy.
1495 - He begins the Last Supper.
1498 - He attempts to design and construct a flying machine.
1499 - Leonardo moves back to Florence and paints the Virgin and Child with Saint Anne.
1502 - He enter the service of Cesare Borgia as military engineer.
1504 - He sketches and later paints the Mona Lisa.
1508 - Da Vinci returns to Milan and studies town planning, optics, and hydraulic engineering.
1513 - The new pope, Giuliano dei Medici, invites Leonardo to move to Rome. He serves the pope and works on his scientific experiments.
1515 - King Francois I gave him the title "first painter, engineer, and architect to the King."
1519 - Leonardo dies with King Francois I at his side.
